ALARM PROCEDURE

Purpose:
To keep concerned people informed of the fire in fastest, most effective way, try to avoid or reduce the hotel’s property loss.

Policy:
Fire alarm is given out from auto-alarm system e.g.: smoke detector, temperature detector etc., or from manual alarm, or fire warnings seen by the staff.
Upon receipt of fire alarm, staff must respond at once, inform operator and his/her supervisor.
Informed of fire alarm information, the Engineering staff must take efficient action in accordance with “Engineering Emergency Program’.
Procedure:
Once fire alarm is on, the operator must contact with the following personnel at once (preset code be sent out via internal mobile phone):
General Manager
Each Executive Team Member
Security Manager
DOE/ADOE工/Duty Engineer
Front Office Manager/Guest Service Manager
Executive Housekeeper
2. The Engineering staff received fire alarm must report to the operator and his/her superior fire information at once:
Fire Specific location (Area, Floor, and Room No.)
Inflammation Substance
Intensity of Fire
Unconfirmed Fire Alarm Treatment Procedure
There usually two situations refer to unconfirmed fire alarm Fire alarm from various detectors
Fire call only expressed that fog, smoke or abnormal smells (e.g. burnt smell), sound or heat was found
Engineering on-duty engineer and Security staff must hurry up to the fire scene.
The operator must inform the concerned department: AM, Department Manager of fire location and Guest Service Manager
Joint investigation; verify whether the fire alarm is wrongly reported.
In case of wrongly-reported fire alarm, it should be reported to General Manager by Security Manager
Signals to be cleared in CCTV Room and the alarm to be cleared
Confirmed Fire Alarm Treatment Procedure
DOE/ADOE / Security Manager must organize Fire Brigade and hurry up to the fire scene for putting out the fire.
Engineering Department must take action in accordance with “Engineering Emergency Program’.
5. Under no circumstances should any employee put either themselves or other employees or guests at risk of injury or death. Should any staff find themselves in a dangerous situation they must make all efforts to evacuate the building assisting others on the way.
