Paul T Tan graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1983, majoring in Architecture.
Over the years, Paul T Tan has accumulated a broad range of skills across a variety of project sizes and types, with recognised expertise in masterplanning, site rationalization, design and detail. Prior to returning to Indonesia, Paul T Tan has enjoyed working for notable architectural firms such as Denton Corker and Marshall in Melbourne and Hellmuth, Obata, Kassabaum in Hong Kong.
In 1986, Paul T Tan founded a Jakarta based architectural design consultancy firm, named Arkipuri. Over the years, Arkipuri expanded and enjoyed international success in delivering quality design in Asia and Australia. Today the firm is known as ARKdesign. Paul T Tan remains as Founder and Principal of the firm and is a member of the Indonesian Architect Association (IAI) and the Asean Architect (AA).
