STEPS | HOW/ STANDARDS | TRAINING QUESTIONS |
1) Prepare a jug of hot water, stain remover and some dry towels. | ||
2) Use a dry towel to soak up the spillage. | The wet towels are never used first to wipe the affected area as this will cause the stain to spread. | 1. Why should you use a dry towel to soak up the spillage?

3) Pour hot water on spillage area. | Do not use too much water | 1. Why should not you use too much water?

4) Spray a small amount of stain remover onto the carpet or upholstered chair. In case of red wine stains put salt on the carpet immediately as it is a good stain remover. | ||
5) Use the wet part of the towel to clean the spillage immediately. | ||
6) Wait 30 seconds for the chemical to react. | 1. Why should you wait 30 seconds?

7) Wipe stained surface with a dry cloth. | ||
8) Repeat the same steps on other spillage areas if necessary. | ||
9) If all steps has been done, Immediately contact Housekeeping department to do a proper cleaner using machinery equipment | Inform Supervisor or Manager on the floor |
