Jakarta, Indonesia — Travel Byte Summit Indonesia (#TBSI) will be held on February 11, 2026, during the second day of the 9th Hospitality Indonesia Conference (#HIC2026) at Le Méridien Jakarta.

Running alongside the Hotel Revenue Summit Indonesia (#HRSI), the event marks the return of a dedicated travel technology forum and formally launches the Travel Byte Summit as part of the Hospitality Asia Events Series.
Designed to address innovation across air, land, and sea travel, #TBSI will explore how technology is transforming mobility, infrastructure, and traveler behavior in Indonesia and the wider region. The summit will feature seven solo presentations and seven panel discussions, bringing together leaders from aviation, cruise, digital travel platforms, and tourism development to examine how integrated travel systems can support sustainable growth.
Among the key sessions is Powering Indonesia’s Cashless Travel Revolution Through Mobile Wallets, which looks at how digital payment ecosystems are simplifying travel, encouraging visitor spending, and accelerating the country’s shift toward a cashless tourism economy. Another highlighted panel, Charting the Course of Cruise Tourism in Indonesia’s Archipelago, will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing Indonesia’s growing cruise sector, including economic impact, environmental considerations, regulatory frameworks, and long-term sustainability strategies across the archipelago.
The program also includes Urban Tourism as a Driver of Culture, Economy, and Sustainability, a panel discussion that examines how cities can balance visitor growth with livability, cultural preservation, and efficient operations. The session underscores the role of thoughtful planning and behind-the-scenes infrastructure in delivering seamless guest experiences and resilient urban destinations.
Notable speakers at #TBSI include Eddy Krismeidi Soemawilaga, Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy at Indonesia AirAsia; Ziva Arifin, Director and Co-Founder of Aviatory Indonesia; and Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. Together, they will share insights on aviation policy, travel data ecosystems, cruise development, and the evolving demands of modern travelers.
As Indonesia continues to strengthen its position as a regional tourism and transportation hub, the launch of Travel Byte Summit Indonesia reflects a growing need for cross-sector collaboration. By bringing together technology, mobility, and destination strategy under one platform, #TBSI aims to shape forward-looking conversations on how travel ecosystems can adapt, connect, and thrive in the next phase of tourism development.
