Jakarta, Indonesia — The Hotel Design Summit Indonesia (#HDSI) will take place on February 10, 2026 at Le Meridien Jakarta, as part of the opening day of the 9th Hospitality Indonesia Conference #HIC2026.

This dedicated summit will spotlight the creative forces shaping the future of hotel architecture and interiors, offering attendees a deep dive into how design innovation is transforming Indonesia’s hospitality landscape.
Across twelve panel sessions, #HDSI will explore how aesthetics, culture, and wellness are becoming powerful drivers of guest experience and brand identity. One highlight, Luxury Meets Local: Designing Hotels that Blend Culture & Modernity, will examine how Indonesian heritage, arts, and crafts are being woven into contemporary interiors to create authentic and memorable stays.
Another session, Biophilic & Wellness-Centered Interiors: Wellness as Design Strategy, will showcase how natural light, air quality, greenery, textures, and mindful spaces are redefining hotels as sanctuaries of wellbeing, reducing stress and deepening guest loyalty.
The summit will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Andrew Tirta Atmadjaja, Director of VERITAS Design Group; Dharmali Kusumadi, Senior Vice President of Design & Development at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts; and Eric Ricaurte, Founder and CEO of Greenview. Together, these leaders will share insights on how design innovation can meet the demands of a rapidly evolving tourism market while staying true to Indonesia’s cultural DNA.
According to Zenith Hospitality, wellness has become essential to hotel performance in Indonesia. Properties with integrated wellness report 25–40% higher Average Daily Rates (ADRs) and 12–18% stronger occupancy, while travelers increasingly seek nutrition, recovery therapies, fitness, and mental health retreats. Zenith warns that hotels treating wellness as optional in 2026 budgets risk falling behind in a market where wellness is now core infrastructure.
By focusing on design innovation, cultural authenticity, and wellness-driven spaces, #HDSI positions #HIC2026 as a comprehensive platform where creativity takes center stage. The summit will equip stakeholders with the vision and strategies needed to harness Indonesia’s hospitality momentum and shape the hotels of tomorrow.
