PAINTING WORK

Purpose: 

To maintain high quality standard and reduce unnecessary work load for other employees and save work hours.

Procedure:

1. All painters must be fully aware of the type of paint used in all areas of the hotel all areas. (Maintenance supervisor should make a board with the paint details and area use etc. and install in the paint shop.)

2. All painters should use proper paintbrushes and rollers.

3. Every painter should have a plastic sheet or rag to cover the floor or furniture before starting painting work. This is to ensure the professionalism of the workmanship.

4. Painters should use masking tape to prevent unnecessary paint apply on other places. 

5. The painter should have a signboard “DO NOT TOUCH WET PAINT“ and mark the area where he works.

6. After completion of the work, he should remove the masking tape.

7. After completion painter should clean all unnecessary paint marks in all areas and ensure the painting work is neat. This is to ensure the professionalism of the workmanship.

8. Ensure the work area is cleaned before a painter leaves the area.

9.    Ensure all paint smell should be eliminated before placing them back into inventory
