HOW TO CLEAN UPHOLSTERY

Guest Expectation : I expect all upholstery to be regularly cleaned.  My clothes and skin come into contact with upholstery and it needs to be kept clean and in heavy traffic areas it needs to be regularly sanitized.

STEPS	HOW/ STANDARDS	TRAINING QUESTIONS
General care of upholstery	Vacuum daily. Remove stains immediately, using a clean damp cloth.  If the stain cannot be removed, spray general purpose cleaner on the spot and dab with a dry cleaning cloth. When vacuuming a sofa, ensure the cushions are removed.	Why do I need to vacuum daily? Is it better to remove stains immediately, or is better to wait until they are dry? Why do I need to spray cleaner on the stains? Why do I need to remove the cushions?
Types of stain	Grease/oil-  Soil-food stain Spillage-coffee/tea	We are the main types of stain?
Cleaning  Method	Spot clean: Spray general purpose cleaner on the spot and agitate it with the edge of a cloth. Dab with a clean cloth from the outer edge of the stain inwards. Shampoo: Fix upholstery nozzle to machine and shampoo section by section。  Use the edge of the nozzle to agitate the stain if stubborn.  To dry faster, use a blower.	What is the difference between spot cleaning and shampooing? What is better? How can I get the upholstery to dry faster?
Precautions	Test if the fabric is colorfast. Press a clean damp cloth onto the fabric surface choosing an area with a stronger color and in an unnoticeable corner. Check the type of stuffing material used. For latex foam padding, shampoo method can be used.	Why do I need to test the colorfast? What can you use for latex?
Report defects	Defects should be reported immediately including any maintenance problems found while cleaning	Why do I have to report immediately?
