LINEN DISCARD

Ruined linen to be disposed.  Guests do not appreciate receiving linen that has holes or is stained. Guest pay a good room rate and expect quality linen.

STEPS	HOW/ STANDARDS	TRAINING QUESTIONS
Spotting discarded linen	Place it aside. Do not mix with the other linen. Send it to the Linen Room at the end of the shift.	Who will order the Uniform? How many sets of Uniform Spotting discarded linen
Torn linen	Torn linen is inspected by the Linen Attendant before storing in the Discard Shelf.	Torn linen
Stained linen	The Linen Attendant is to separate the linen and send to the Laundry for spot cleaning or rewash.  If a stain has been removed, place item back into circulation.  If the stain cannot be removed the Linen Attendant  must place the item on the Discard shelf	Stained linen
Inventory	All discarded linen is to be counted when doing   inventory and recorded under “Discard”.	Inventory
