HOW TO SHAMPOO A CARPET

Guest Expectation : I expect that carpets are clean and regularly shampooed. Carpets are a breeding ground for dust mites and other small inspects. Some sections of carpets are also subject to high traffic and wear faster.  I expect regular shampooing to protect and uphold the quality of carpets.

STEPS	HOW/ STANDARDS	TRAINING QUESTIONS
Preparation	Check the machine and ensure all accessories are prepared. Get carpet shampoo, signage, a pail and some cleaning cloths.	Why do I need to check the machine function First?
2Remove furniture	Remove as much furniture as possible and vacuum the carpet.	Why do I need to remove furniture?
Dilute Chemical	Dilute carpet shampoo with hot water in a pail, follow dilution rate.	Why do I need to dilute the shampoo with hot water?
Shampoo the carpet	Prepare the carpet extractor and accessories. Put shampoo solution into the solution tank. Turn on the three buttons, brush, shampoo jet and vacuum. Pull the carpet extractor in a straight line over a length of one and half meters. Turn off the shampoo jet and run the machine over the same area twice to vacuum the shampoo.  Do not pull the machine too fast; ensure regular speed. When first row is completed, move the machine to cover the next row ensuring you overlap the first row. STOP USING THE MACHINE IF ANY SMELL OR BURN ACCURES!	Why do I need to turn on three buttons? Completion	When shampooing is completed, use damp cloth and clean all the wooden skirting.	Why do I need to clean the wooden skirting with a clean cloth?
Clean and store equipment	Clear the solution tank and clean accessories before returning them to the store.  Clean and dry the pail and signage and place them in the store in an orderly manner. Tips:  Do not shampoo the carpet too often as it will shorten the lifespan of the carpet.  Do spot cleaning when necessary.	Why do I need to clear the tank when I am using the cleaner again? Report defects	To report immediately of any maintenance problem is found while cleaning.	Why do I have to report immediately?
