POLICY
Each employee is entitled to take sick leave in accordance with the Labor Law.

PURPOSE
Clearly define rights and obligation of the employees in order to provide proper administration, sick leave control and salary compensation.
PROCEDURES
In case of illness that could not be predicted, an employee is obliged to advise Human Resources Department or his/her respective Department Head before his/her shift start and not later than 24 hours after the beginning of the shift that he/she is on a sick leave. An employee should not in any case inform only his colleagues from the Department about sick leave.

If an employee does not submit a sick leave certificate within 2 days or does not inform Human Resources Department or his/her respective Department Head about the reasons of this delay his absence will be considered as unexcused absence from work and disciplinary procedure will be initiated.
An employee is obliged to advise Human Resources Department or his/her respective Department Head of the exact date of his return to work as soon as that day is known.
During sick leave employees are entitled to salary compensation in accordance with the local labor law. Salary compensation will be paid only upon receipt of verified sick leave.
