The search for Candidates

POLICY

It is the policy of Kalihara Hotels Group to insure the appropriate involvement of the management in the search process for filling hotel vacancies at the department of the Hotel, and to encourage the application of affirmative action guidelines to all major phases of this process.



PURPOSE

Providing guidelines in sourcing candidates for any available vacant position


PROCEDURE

Human Resources Manager is responsible to update any vacant position at the Hotel and sourcing suitable candidates accordingly.

The priority in filling the vacant position will be :

  1. Internal transfer within the Hotel

  2. Inter Unit transfer from other Golden Tulip/louvre hotel group property

  3. Advertisement and external sources


If internal applicants are to be considered, then a flexible approach must be adopted, with details as follow :

  1. Human Resources will announce the vacant position at Employee Notice Board

  2. Any staff who are interested, they must filled out the Internal Transfer Form, and gaining approval from the respective Department and Division Head

  3. The candidate’s last Performance Review will be one of the selection tools in the transfer process, while interview session with Personnel Manager / Human Resources Director and the receiving Department Head / Division Head are also compulsory


3.    It is also possible for staff from other Kalihara Hotels Group properties to fill in the vacant position.   This will be regulated by Inter Unit Transfer policy from Corporate Office


4. Several potentials external sources will be Job Vacancy advertisement in online and printed media, while posting the Job Vacancy advertisement at Hotel School partners is also applicable


5.  Record of all advertisement placed are to be kept up to date for reference purposes.
