POLICY

PURPOSE
All persons being considered for employment need to fill out an Employment Application Form. HRD is responsible for screening applicants ans maintaining application files.
PROCEDURE
The Employment Application Form requires information about the applicant’s personal circumstances, educational attainment, work experiences, general health, other qualifications, and other information that will be of use in an initial evaluation of the applicant.
The Human Resources Department will ensure all information required on the application form are completed properly by all applicants, and may require applicants to submit documents in support of any representation made in the application form.
Letters of application received by mail including replies to advertisements or recommendations received through other means will be reviewed by the Human Resources Department to determine which applicant meet the minimum requirements for the job.
Qualified applicants will be contacted by telephone/e-mail and request to come to the Human Resources Department to fill out an Employment Application Form and subsequently for the pre-employment screening procedures. In case there is no vacancy for the position applied for, the applicant may be considered for other vacant positions for which he/she may also be qualified.
Potential applicants are filed under active files for future reference, unsuitable applicants are filed under inactive files.
The Human Resources Department will screen all applications received.
