HOW TO CLEAN A MIRROR

Guest Expectation:

I expect all mirrors in my room to be clean and spotless. I feel that dirty mirrors reflect poor housekeeping standards.

STEPS	HOW/ STANDARDS	TRAINING QUESTIONS
Preparation	The Floor Supervisor prepares the work sheet at 07.00 AM by using the Housekeeping Report in Opera system. Take old newspaper, razor and window cleaner and soft cloth.	Why does the Floor Supervisor issue the report? What is the material I need to clean the mirror?
Cleaning	Remove any stains or spots from the surface of the mirror with a razor blade. Spray the surface of the mirror with glass cleaner and clean the mirror with a clean cloth, wiping from left to right and top to bottom. Ensure that the mirror surface is free from stains and water marks. Old newspapers can be used to polish the mirror. Take a leather cloth or newspaper into and polish the mirror with circular movements. If you use a clean cloth, ensure that no lint is left on the mirror.	Where do I get a razor blade from? Won’t it damage the mirror? What cleaner do I need? What can be used to polish mirrors? Is there a preferred motion to polish? What is so disturbing about lint?
Report defects	To report immediately of any maintenance problem is found while cleaning.	Why do I have to report immediately?
