HOW TO MAKE UP A BED

Guest Expectation:

I expect my bed changed daily and made up properly. I enjoy a comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep after a hard working day.

Why is this task important for you and our guests?

Answers: 

1. If the bed is well prepared this increase the GSI score.

2. Show professionalism.

3. The bed in the guest room is one of the most important features and images of the hotel.  How it is made is an important addition to its comfort.

Remove the duvet and pillows	Place duvet and pillows on a chair and not on the carpet for hygiene reasons.	Why can I not put the Pillows and Duvet on the floor?
Soiled linen	Place soiled linen into the soiled-linen bag and not on the floor.	Why do I need to put the soiled linen into a bag?
Mattress& duvet Mattress	Change the mattress pad or duvet Mattress if it is stained Turn mattress according to schedule.	What is the difference between the upside and the downside of the mattress? How often are mattresses changed?
Bed sheet	Spread the bed sheet over the mattress and tuck in all four corners.  Pull the sheet firmly over the mattress while tucking in.	Why does the Bed sheet need to be firmly over the bed?
Duvet cover	Place the duvet cover on the bed. Take the left and right corner of the duvet and insert them into the respective corners of the duvet cover. Straighten the edges and corners. Do the same with the Pillow. Smooth the duvet and place it in the middle of the bed with 40cm hanging over the sides and bottom edge.	How do I pull the Pillowcase over the Pillow and the Duvet cover the Duvet? How many Pillows, Duvets, and Bed sheets do we have in a guest room?

Replace the bed	Use your knee and push the bed back against the wall Smooth the bed out.	How can I move the Bed back in its original position
