HOW TO POLISH BRASS

STEPS	HOW/ STANDARDS	TRAINING QUESTIONS
Preparation	Prepare some damp and dry cloths. Chemical: Use BRASSO for solid brass only.  Don’t use it on any other metals or brass-plated metals. When polishing a standing ashtray, move the whole ashtray to the service area. Never leave the standing ashtray in the front of house when polishing it. Put a condemned sheet under the item you are going to polish to cover the floor/carpet.	Why do I need both types? Can I use general purpose cleaner as well? Why do I need to go in the back of the house? Why do I need to put a sheet under the polish Item?
Polish	Pour a few drops of Brasso onto a damp cloth. Polish the brass by wiping the cloth with Brasso over all areas, using firm pressure on the badly stained parts.  Make sure that the brass is completely polished. Polishing has to be done using a dry cloth rubbed in a circular motion, applying pressure to the area being polished.	Why can I not take a cup full of this chemical? How do I need to polish? Can I only polish half of the item? Can I polish as well with a wet cloth?
