1. It is important, that we have certain times to use the linen chute to prepare for the Laundry.

2. If the Laundry is not prepared, all the linen and towels will land in a loading bay and nobody would take care of the linen and towels.

Purpose of the linen chute	The linen chute is for staff to send down soiled linen and guest laundry. Do not throw other things into the linen chute, as cigarettes, cigars, glass, metal items.	Why does a hotel have a linen chute? Why can I not throw cigarettes or other items into the linen chute?
Use the linen chute	Throw down guest laundry during “Pick-up Period”, in accordance with your hotel.  Soiled linen can only be thrown during this time. Check the laundry bag to ensure that it is securely fastened before you throw the linen. Be careful and ensure guest belongings or guest supplies are not thrown together with the soiled linen. Throw the soiled linen directly into the linen chute. Do not leave soiled linen on the corridor floor.	Why do we have operating hours? Why can I not throw soiled linen into the linen chute at other times? Why can I not leave the soiled linen out on the corridor covered?
Lock the linen chute	The Linen chute must be kept locked at all times except when in use.  Every Room Attendant will have a linen chute key attached to their floor Master Key.	Why do I need to lock the linen chute at all times when not in use? What should I do if I lose the key? What should I do when I have forgotten the key?
Report defects	Report immediately any operational problem caused when using the linen chute.	Why do I have to report immediately?
