TRAINING QUESTIONS


Daily cleaning


  • Using a cleaning cloth spray it with the recommended glass cleaner so it is damp enough to have marks and stains removed.

  • Wipe over all the key pad and face plate areas removing any marks and stains whilst paying attention to the keypad numbers and grooves to remove any grime.  

  • For any stubborn marks and built up dust or grime use a small brush to clean and remove and then clean over with the damp cleaning cloth.

  • Wipe over the handset to ensure all marks are removed from the hearing and speaking components of the handset including the cord from the handset to the telephone itself. At the same time ensure the cord is not tangled or wrapped around itself and if so then unravel accordingly.

Check the defect


  • Check the telephone to ensure there is a dial tone so it can be identified if it is working correctly.  If there is no dial tone, then check the plug and cable at the wall and at the telephone are connected correctly. If there is still no dial tone emitting from the handset ear piece then report this to the housekeeping office so they can contact engineering to have repaired.
